This rare and geologically unique UV reactive Hematite filled geode from a remote part of the Argentinean Andes was mined out over 10 years ago and any pieces being found now is rough hidden away by local villagers. In the next few years this mineral could easily disappear from the open market, don't miss your chance to own one of these beauties for your collection.💎One of the most interesting pieces in the mineral world, believed to be volcanic in nature.... forming similar to thundereggs but filled with a rich red striking Hematite, the area shows no evidence of being a crater perhaps so ancient any signs are extinct.....they are a truely remarkable mystery.
ALL Red Fox Agates fluoresce to some degree, I believe due to Calcium Carbonate content which can range in color from blue to green. In order to see the most vivid reaction I suggest a good field light such as the mid wave length Convoy S2. Most cheap UV flashlights will not do the reaction justice.
